little \u2014 that devotion meant endurance.<br data-start=\"2043\" data-end=\"2046\" \/>He was charming at first. Protective. Certain.<br data-start=\"2092\" data-end=\"2095\" \/>He wanted to know everything about me, and I mistook that for care.<br data-start=\"2162\" data-end=\"2165\" \/>Soon, decisions that should have been mine became his.<br data-start=\"2219\" data-end=\"2222\" \/>He told me what was \u201cbest for us,\u201d and I wanted peace so badly that I stopped arguing.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"2312\" data-end=\"2634\">Control rarely shows up as violence in the beginning.<br data-start=\"2365\" data-end=\"2368\" \/>It starts as concern, then turns into correction, then isolation.<br data-start=\"2433\" data-end=\"2436\" \/>When I tried to speak up, he twisted my words until I didn\u2019t trust my own memory.<br data-start=\"2517\" data-end=\"2520\" \/>I apologized for things I hadn\u2019t done. It was a thousand tiny decisions to stop explaining, stop hoping, stop returning.<br data-start=\"4644\" data-end=\"4647\" \/>Healing didn\u2019t come from closure. It came from distance.<br data-start=\"4703\" data-end=\"4706\" \/>From learning that peace is quiet, not empty.<br data-start=\"4751\" data-end=\"4754\" \/>From realizing that love doesn\u2019t take away your voice \u2014 it listens to it.<\/p><p data-start=\"4831\" data-end=\"5089\">I began to run again, to breathe, to write.<br data-start=\"4874\" data-end=\"4877\" \/>I studied trauma, boundaries, and the nervous system.<br data-start=\"4930\" data-end=\"4933\" \/>I learned that my anxiety wasn\u2019t weakness \u2014 it was my body\u2019s way of screaming \u201cthis isn\u2019t safe.\u201d<br data-start=\"5029\" data-end=\"5032\" \/>And slowly, I began to hear it before it had to scream.<\/p><p data-start=\"5091\" data-end=\"5259\">I no longer need chaos to feel alive.<br data-start=\"5128\" data-end=\"5131\" \/>I no longer confuse intensity with intimacy.<br data-start=\"5175\" data-end=\"5178\" \/>And I no longer wait for someone else to give me the safety I can build myself.<\/p><p data-start=\"5261\" data-end=\"5629\">This blog is not about revenge or exposure.<br data-start=\"5304\" data-end=\"5307\" \/>It\u2019s a light for anyone who still feels trapped, confused, or small inside a love that hurts.<br data-start=\"5400\" data-end=\"5403\" \/>Because if you recognize yourself in my words, you are not crazy, and you are not alone.<br data-start=\"5491\" data-end=\"5494\" \/>You can walk away.
